Dhal of Coral Lentils with Coconut Milk


  • 200ml Kara Classic UHT Coconut Milk
  • 250g of coral lentils
  • 1 cube of vegetable broth
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (cut)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika or ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Coriander leaves


  1. Cook the coral lentils in 750ml of boiling water with the vegetable broth until there is no more water.
  2. Fry the onion in a well-oiled pan; add the garlic and the tomatoes.
  3. Cook for 1 minute over medium heat, then stir in the spices.
  4. Add Kara Classic UHT Coconut Milk and mix well; then pour in the coral lentils.
  5. Cook on low heat for at least 10 minutes, stirring regularly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
