Coconut Suji Squares


  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 170g all-purpose cream (or fresh whipping cream)
  • 1/2 cup Icing Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Suji (Semolina)
  • 1/2 cup Kara Coconut Cream Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • Some almond (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degC (356 degF).
  2. Whisk the eggs and oil together.
  3. Add the all-purpose cream, whisk till smooth.
  4. Add icing sugar, suji (semolina), Kara Coconut Cream Powder and baking powder.
  5. Whisk all ingredient till well combined and add one extra tablespoon of oil last to help the whisking process.
  6. Lightly grease an oven-proof baking dish with oil and pour the thick batter into the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the almond over the top (can replace with other nuts of your choice).
  8. Bake in the middle rack of your oven for 30 minutes till the sides and top is golden.
  9. Cut into diamonds or squares with a sharp knife. Go around the edges to release.
  10. Ready to be served.
