Dark Chocolate Coconut Cake


  • 100g self-raising flour
  • 35g cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 200ml Kara UHT Coconut Cream
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract



  • Icing sugar
  • Strawberry
  • Almond flakes



  • 4” heart shaped mould


  1. Sift and mix together self-raising flour, cocoa powder and salt. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, Kara UHT Coconut Cream, oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined.
  3. Add wet mixture into dry mixture, fold with spatula until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into lined heart shape mould and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted and comes out clean.
  5. Removed from mould, let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Top with icing sugar, strawberry and almond flakes.
  7. Ready to be served.
